Stalemate in the Old Dubai Derby: Al Nasr and Al Ahli Share Points

A tense match ends in a 1-1 draw, affecting the standings in the ADNOC Pro League.
The eagerly anticipated 'Old Dubai Derby' concluded in a 1-1 draw between Al Nasr and Al Ahli at Al Maktoum Stadium, as part of the 24th round of the ADNOC Pro League.

The match's goals came in the second half, with Abdullah Toure scoring for Al Nasr and Moanes Dabour equalizing for Al Ahli.

This result extends Al Ahli's lead at the top of the league to 57 points, while Al Nasr slips to seventh place with 35 points.

The match began at a moderate pace, with Al Ahli quickly establishing control and launching several attacking efforts in search of a lead.

They came close to scoring in the 22nd minute when Renan Da Silva's header narrowly missed the post.

Conversely, Al Nasr adopted a defensive posture, focusing on compactness in their midfield and attempting counter-attacks spearheaded by Marwan Azrakhan and Othman Boussaid, although these attempts posed little threat to Al Ahli's goal.

In the second half, Al Ahli intensified their offensive efforts, applying pressure on the Al Nasr defense.

Al Nasr surprised their opponents by taking the lead in the 54th minute through a goal from Abdullah Toure, who found the net with his first touch after being substituted in for Azrakhan.

Following this setback, Al Ahli committed more resources to their attack and managed to equalize in the 74th minute, thanks to Moanes Dabour.

The match witnessed a significant moment in the 83rd minute when referee Adil Al Naqbi issued a red card to Al Nasr's Moussa Ndiaye for a reckless tackle on Con Silva, reducing Al Nasr to ten men for the remainder of the match.
