Abu Dhabi's Food Safety Authority Enforces Closure of Future Grocery Store
Administrative shutdown issued due to repeated food safety violations.
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority has enforced an administrative closure of 'Future Grocery Store LLC,' located on Hamdan Street - East 3, Abu Dhabi.
The store, operating under commercial license CN-1032691, was found in violation of Law No. (2) of 2008 concerning food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, along with related regulations, posing risks to public health.
According to the authority's food control report, the decision for administrative closure stemmed from repeated safety violations and the failure to implement effective corrective measures.
This necessitated immediate action to ensure food safety and protect consumer health.
The administrative closure will remain in effect until the reasons for the violations are resolved.
The store may resume operations only after fully rectifying its status and complying with all food safety requirements.
The authority emphasized that the closure and identification of infractions are part of its strategy to enhance the food safety system in Abu Dhabi.
All food establishments are subject to regular inspections to verify compliance with safety requirements, with a focus on proactive consumer protection and ensuring adherence to food safety regulations.
The authority has urged the public to report any observed violations at food establishments or suspicions about the integrity of food products.
This can be done by contacting the Abu Dhabi government’s toll-free number 800555, allowing the authority's inspectors to take necessary actions to ensure safe food for all community members in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
