Dana White Announces 85,000 Free Tickets for Historic UFC Fight Card at the White House

Mass public viewing planned in Washington as President Trump’s landmark UFC event coincides with America’s 250th anniversary celebrations
Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White has announced plans to distribute approximately eighty-five thousand free tickets to fans for the organization’s unprecedented fight card scheduled to take place at the White House this summer.

The event, set for June fourteen in Washington, D.C., will stage an Octagon on the South Lawn of the White House in what organizers describe as a once-in-a-generation spectacle.

Due to strict security limitations, only a few thousand guests will be able to attend the fights directly on the White House grounds.

However, White confirmed that tens of thousands of additional fans will be able to watch the event from the nearby Ellipse park through a large public viewing experience.

According to the plan, roughly five thousand spectators will be seated near the Octagon on the South Lawn, while the Ellipse—located just across the street from the White House—will host around eighty-five thousand fans.

Large screens, stages, music performances and other fan activities are expected to transform the park into a festival-style gathering point for mixed martial arts supporters.

White said the tickets for the Ellipse viewing area will be distributed free of charge, with registration details expected to be announced closer to the event date.

The initiative is designed to ensure that ordinary fans have access to the historic occasion rather than limiting attendance to invited guests.

The fight card is part of a broader series of national celebrations marking the United States’ two hundred and fiftieth anniversary.

President Donald Trump, a long-time supporter of the UFC who helped provide venues for the promotion in its early years, has championed the idea of bringing a major sporting event to the White House as part of the commemorations.

Organizers say the event—officially branded “UFC Freedom two hundred fifty”—will feature several high-profile bouts, including championship fights.

Fighters are expected to walk out to the Octagon with the White House as the backdrop, creating a visual spectacle unlike any previously staged in combat sports.

The promotion is also planning a week of events across Washington ahead of the fight night, including press conferences, fan gatherings and public festivities tied to the anniversary celebrations.

Industry analysts say the White House card represents one of the most ambitious productions ever attempted by the UFC.

The event is expected to cost tens of millions of dollars to stage, with the promotion seeking to recover part of the expense through sponsorships and media partnerships while prioritizing the symbolic and cultural impact of the occasion.
