The confrontation, attributed to the man’s drug use, resulted in both parties being hospitalized and subsequently arrested.

The altercation took place when an argument between the couple escalated dramatically.

According to reports from the Sharjah Police, the man, under the influence of narcotics, attacked his girlfriend with a knife, stabbing her in the abdomen.

In the chaos that ensued, he attempted to harm himself, inflicting a wound to his leg.

The incident came to light when the girlfriend's mother overheard the commotion and promptly called for medical assistance.

Her quick response ensured both parties received urgent medical care.

Upon learning of the situation, local law enforcement dispatched officers to the hospital where both individuals were admitted.

The man was detained at the Wasit Police Station, while his girlfriend was transferred to the central jail.
