Dubai Prepares for the 20th Michelin 24 Hour Endurance Race

The Dubai Autodrome hosts a landmark event that combines celebration with competition as part of its 20th anniversary.
On January 14 and 15, the Dubai Autodrome will serve as the battleground for the 20th edition of the renowned Michelin 24 Hour Race.

This international motorsport event is set to feature a robust competition among 70 racing teams, emphasizing the prominence of the participating GT3 class teams, which number over 30 this year.

Hailing from various corners of the globe, these teams are ready to compete in the endurance race that opens the season for a series of 24-hour races.

Furthermore, the event coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Dubai Autodrome, adding a celebratory note to what is already a significant fixture on the motorsport calendar.

Among the contenders, UAE's own teams, including Rabdan Motorsport, Dragon Racing, Volgenzi Racing, and Dual Racing, are poised to represent their home country.

Rabdan Motorsport features the promising Emirati driver Saif Al Amri, competing alongside teammates Fahad Al Zabi, Salim Al Ketbi, and Christopher Zoeckling.

Faisal Al Sahlawi, the General Manager of the Dubai Autodrome, highlighted the special significance of the 2025 Michelin 24 Hour Race: 'This year's event is more than just the opening of the endurance racing season.

It's part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of the Dubai Autodrome, thus amplifying its importance.

Since its inception in 2006, the race has continuously attracted greater attention in the motorsport world.' He added, 'The race serves as a crucial platform for Emirati drivers and teams to gain competitive experience against international challengers, thereby enhancing their competitive standards.

Over the years, we've witnessed numerous teams and drivers elevating the UAE flag on the podium, and we hope to see similar successes this year.'

Al Sahlawi further underscored the broader significance of the event, noting, 'The Dubai 24 Hour Race is more than just a major fixture in the motorsport calendar.

It significantly contributes to the local economy and offers a high-profile occasion that fortifies Dubai's position as a vital host of international sporting events.

By fostering such engagements, the event plays a role in both socio-economic and sports sectors within the region.'
