Dubai's Enduring Commitment to Arabic Heritage

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation Celebrates Arabic Language Heritage through 'Bil Arabi'
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) is set to enrich the cultural landscape with the 12th edition of its renowned 'Bil Arabi' initiative—one of the region's foremost endeavors aimed at bolstering the usage of the Arabic language across the internet and social media platforms.

The initiative showcases the beauty and influence of Arabic while fostering cultural identity among younger generations.

Every year, MBRF proudly inaugurates the 'Bil Arabi' events, aligning them with the World Arabic Language Day, celebrated on December 18th.

The initiative is dedicated to encouraging the use of Arabic on all social media platforms and raising awareness about its richness and depth, deeply linked to Arab heritage, while offering meaningful content to boost Arab identity.

This year's edition underscores the significance of Arabic as a fundamental component of science, knowledge, and as a robust medium for global communication.

The schedule is replete with interactive events, competitions, and activities at major shopping centers in Dubai, along with a rich array of digital media and social media engagements hosted by the foundation.

The aim is to strengthen the ties of young people to their mother tongue and broaden its use among various societal segments, including non-native speakers.

His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of the MBRF, stated that the 'Bil Arabi' initiative, launched over a decade ago, embodies the foundation’s unwavering commitment to enhancing Arab identity and crafting effective tools for articulating it, thereby embedding its presence among the world's cultures.

Over the years, the initiative has proved its positive influence on the Arabic linguistic scene by steering individuals towards using Arabic on social media, thus reinforcing its digital presence and revitalizing cultural and linguistic bonds within communities.
