Dubai's Skydiving Championship Elevated to Global Stature
CISM President lauds Dubai’s innovative progression in international sports
The President of the International Military Sports Council (CISM), Brazilian Nielton Gomez, has expressed commendation for the recent elevation of the Dubai International Parachuting Championship to global status.
This recognition by the International Air Sports Federation underscores the relentless efforts and creativity showcased in organizing this championship, year after year.
Speaking at the event currently being held at Skydive Dubai, Gomez extended warm congratulations to the Emirates Aerosports Federation for this prestigious upgrade.
He emphasized the exceptional artistic and technical excellence he observed in this, his second consecutive year attending the championship.
As expected, the city of Dubai has fulfilled and surpassed expectations, with the United Arab Emirates offering outstanding hospitality and a superb organizational framework for participating delegations.
These efforts significantly motivated the international federation to bestow the competition with a global classification.
Gomez disclosed that a series of bilateral meetings were held with Emirati officials to explore how the UAE's organizational expertise and world-class infrastructure can be utilized for further advancements.
Meetings were conducted with Yousif Al Hammadi, Vice President of UAE Aerosports Federation and Director of the Championship's Supreme Organizing Committee, as well as Mohamed Yousif, Secretary-General of the Federation and Vice Director of the organizing committee and Chair of the Technical Committee.
Discussions centered on matters pivotal to the enhancement of air sports within the Arab region and the broader Asian continent.
