Emirates Airlines Enhances Preparations for Hajj Season and Eid Al-Adha

Airline to operate additional flights to accommodate pilgrims and offer special services during the holiday period.
Emirates Airlines has intensified its preparations for transporting passengers for this year's Hajj, announcing the operation of 33 flights to Jeddah and Medina from May 19 to May 31, and an additional period from June 10 to June 16. The airline plans to operate 13 extra flights to regional destinations, including Amman, Dammam, Kuwait, and Bahrain, in anticipation of the expected increase in travel demand for Eid Al-Adha.

Emirates aims to transport approximately 32,000 pilgrims over the next three weeks from major markets within its network, including the United States, Pakistan, Indonesia, South Africa, Thailand, and Côte d'Ivoire.

The Hajj experience with Emirates begins as soon as pilgrims arrive in Dubai, where specialized teams at the airport facilitate a smooth transition from arrival to hotel transfers.

Passengers traveling for Hajj will receive special luggage tags featuring the Hajj logo, along with a tailored kit that includes a prayer mat, prayer beads, a water bottle, and non-slip socks to ensure comfort throughout their journey.

The airline has also provided specially designed amenities for Hajj passengers onboard, equipping its aircraft with facilities for ablution, unscented towels, and notifications to passengers prior to arriving at the designated miqat.

Additionally, the in-flight entertainment system, ice, features exclusive content related to Hajj.

Emirates allows each pilgrim on return flights from Jeddah and Medina to carry a 5-liter container of Zamzam water, which will be stored in the cargo hold.

To celebrate Eid Al-Adha, Emirates will offer a special holiday menu on select flights to destinations in the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, East Asia, and Europe, available across all classes of travel.

First-class, business-class, and premium economy passengers will enjoy traditional dishes such as Al-Madhfoon meat and Al-Zarbiyan chicken, along with luxurious desserts like chocolate pistachio Namoura and white chocolate mousse.

Economy class passengers will have access to pistachio and coffee cakes.

In the A380 aircraft's lounge, first and business-class travelers can indulge in a selection of traditional Emirati sweets and Arabic coffee.

All passengers will receive Eid sweets presented in a special box containing assorted confections, including small pieces of traditional treats such as Rangina cake, pistachio cake, and dates-filled Maamoul.

Passengers departing from Jeddah in first and business classes will have access to a rich selection of dishes and sweets in the Emirates lounge.

Offerings include Mthalatha meat, Saloq meat, Hanini, and cheese Kunafa.

A variety of entertainment options is available on Emirates' award-winning information, communication, and entertainment system, ice, during Eid Al-Adha, featuring over 2000 films from around the world, including more than 75 Arab films, with notable titles such as "Abu Nasb," "Al-Mazra'a," and "Al-Ankabut."

The system also provides 50 channels of Arabic series and exclusive content from "Shahid" such as "Al-Bath," "Tarad," and "Sadaf." Turkish series dubbed in Arabic, including "Kara Meva" and "Al-Aqda," are also available.

Additionally, passengers can enjoy 15 channels of Arabic podcasts and audiobooks, the Holy Quran, and over 500 channels of Arabic music, including pop, classical, Gulf, and Moroccan genres.

Emirates customers can shop for last-minute gifts through the new exclusive summer EmiratesRED offers, featuring 200 luxury products from prestigious brands such as Hermes, Cartier, Tom Ford, Creed, and Jo Malone.

The pre-order service from EmiratesRED.com allows customers to shop up to 21 days before their flight and up to 40 hours before departure, providing travel details at checkout, with orders delivered directly to their seats on board, along with an exclusive discount of up to 10% using the code REDMAG at purchase.
