Hamdan bin Mohammed Honors Recipients of the 'Emirates Pride' Medal

Celebrating Visionary Contributors to the UAE's National Success
In a grand ceremony that underscored the United Arab Emirates' commitment to recognizing and honoring distinguished contributions to society, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Vice President, and Minister of Defense, bestowed the prestigious 'Emirates Pride' Medal on eminent figures at the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Government Excellence 2024.

The awards celebrate citizens who have significantly contributed to the community, offering remarkable services across various sectors and achieving notable individual accomplishments.

Among the acclaimed honorees was His Excellency Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai, advisor on strategic research and advanced technology to the President and Secretary-General of the UAE’s Research and Development Council.

Al Bannai, also the chairman of EDGE Group, has been pivotal in attracting world-class talent to the UAE, establishing it as a global hub for research and advanced technology development.

His pioneering initiatives in artificial intelligence have cemented his reputation as a global leader in advanced technologies.

Also receiving the 'Emirates Pride' Medal was Dr. Rafia Abid Ghubash, acknowledged as a community service pioneer.

As the founder of the Women’s Museum, which documents the contributions of Emirati women across various fields, she is celebrated as the UAE’s first female psychiatrist and has led prominent educational and cultural institutions.

Her ongoing work in medical research and cultural documentation, including the creation of the 'Encyclopedia of Emirati Women,' continues to influence and inspire.

The ceremony also highlighted institutional excellence, awarding the Ministry of Economy as the top entity contributing to the nation's leadership and competitiveness globally.

The Ministry of Interior was recognized for its innovative solutions, claiming the award for Best Institution in Innovative Solutions Adoption, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs won for excelling in customer service, demonstrating proactive and innovative initiatives that enhance service delivery.

The Ministry of Finance received accolades for its legislative development, showcasing flexibility and readiness to anticipate future challenges, which has a positive impact on community quality of life.

Additionally, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation was recognized for its outstanding partnership and integration efforts, promoting collaboration with the private sector, and the Ministry of the Interior also secured recognition for empowering young people, embodying the nation’s forward-thinking commitment to developing the next generation of leaders.
