Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub: A Pillar of Dubai's Ambitious Aviation Vision

A strategic facilitation for global aerospace excellence
In a significant leap forward for Dubai's aviation sector, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and the Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, emphasized the pioneering role of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) as emblematic of Dubai’s strategic ambitions.

In a recent post on 'X', Sheikh Ahmed articulated that the MBRAH, located in Dubai South, exemplifies the emirate's commitment to developing globally renowned infrastructure that caters holistically to contemporary aviation demands.

As part of its expansion, the MBRAH inaugurated two new facilities: Executjet Mideast and Comlux Hangar.

These additions are reflections of Dubai's pledge to create an innovative environment blending a strategic location with exceptional services, tailored to the evolving needs of the private aviation sector.

His Highness affirmed, "These new facilities will deliver unparalleled experiences, combining efficiency and convenience to ensure seamless and distinguished journeys for both passengers and operators alike.

With each new accomplishment, we bolster Dubai's status as a global aviation nexus that harmonizes ambition, connectivity, and excellence."

The ceremonial opening of Comlux's state-of-the-art hangar was attended by Sheikh Ahmed alongside Khalifa Al Zaffin, CEO of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South; Tahnoon Saif, CEO of MBRAH; Richard Gaona, Chairman and CEO of Comlux; and Joseph Huber, Vice Chairman of Comlux.

This facility, sprawling over 20,000 square meters in a strategic location within the Al Maktoum International Airport's private aviation terminal, offers extensive services including a fully air-conditioned jet storage hangar, aircraft parking, bespoke office spaces, workshops, and storage rooms.

Additionally, it serves as the regional headquarters for Comlux, facilitating aircraft refurbishment and cabin upgrades.

Tahnoon Saif remarked, "The unveiling of Comlux's advanced facility is a qualitative enhancement to the services offered by MBRAH, reflecting our steadfast commitment to attracting leading global enterprises and fostering aviation sector innovation.

At MBRAH, our mission aligns with the visionary guidance of our leadership in promoting Dubai as a leading global aviation destination.

Our dedication to assisting companies as they establish and expand their footprint is unwavering."

Echoing this sentiment, Richard Gaona stated, "This new facility is pivotal in our strategy to support our clients in the region.

We extend our gratitude to our partners at MBRAH for their ongoing support in facilitating the establishment of this service and maintenance hub at Al Maktoum International Airport.

Jean-Michel Chardonneau, General Manager of Comlux Middle East and Africa, will oversee day-to-day operations, and we will work closely with Dubai South to enhance our presence here."

MBRAH is committed to providing international companies with high-level connectivity and integration, serving as a free zone for world-leading airlines, private jet operators, and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities, among other industry players.

Situated in Dubai South, the hub also hosts centers for maintenance, training, and education, working towards supporting engineering industries to fortify Dubai's vision of becoming a pre-eminent global aviation center.
