Rare Planet Parade to Grace UAE Skies on January 25

Stargazers to Witness Alignment of Saturn, Jupiter, Venus, and Mars with Possible Sightings of Uranus and Neptune
Dubai, UAE – On the night of January 25, skywatchers in the United Arab Emirates will have the opportunity to observe a rare celestial event: the alignment of four planets.

Saturn, Jupiter, Venus, and Mars are expected to line up, presenting a visual spectacle in the night sky.

There is also a possibility that Uranus and Neptune may be visible to those with keen eyesight or telescopic assistance.

This astronomical event, often referred to as a 'planetary parade,' occurs when planets appear in close proximity from Earth's perspective.

Although the planets remain far apart in the solar system, their alignment creates a stunning visual display.

This phenomenon provides a unique chance for observers to view these distant planets in apparent harmony.

To mark the occasion, the Dubai Astronomy Group (DAG) has organized a public viewing event at Al Thuraya Astronomy Center.

The event will run from 6 PM to 10 PM, requiring attendees to purchase tickets.

Prices are set at AED 100 for DAG members, AED 120 for children, and AED 150 for adults.

The event will feature a Q&A session with experts, followed by a 'sky mapping' activity to help participants identify constellations.

Attendees can also engage in telescopic observations to get a closer look at the planetary alignment.

The group will offer assistance for those interested in capturing photographs using their phones through telescopes.

Such alignments hold significant interest for both amateur and professional astronomers, as they offer a rare opportunity to study the planets' movements and positions relative to Earth.

In addition to the unique visual experience, these events can provide valuable data for ongoing astronomical research.
