Police authorities in Chhattisgarh, India, have detained a second individual suspected of involvement in the knife attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan.

The incident occurred during a burglary attempt at Khan's residence in Mumbai, where he sustained multiple stab wounds early Thursday.

Saif Ali Khan, 54, underwent surgery after being stabbed six times, with injuries to his spine, neck, and hands.

Medical professionals report that he is currently out of danger.

The detention of the second suspect followed a tip-off from Mumbai Police indicating that the individual was traveling on the Jnaneswari Express train.

Sanjeev Sinha, representing the Railway Protection Force, communicated with ANI news agency about the suspect's interception.

The agency confirmed the suspect's identity through a video call with Mumbai Police officials prior to the detention.

Mumbai Police had previously detained another key suspect on Friday as part of their ongoing investigation into the attack.
