Sharjah's Communal Wedding: A Testament to Philanthropy and Social Cohesion

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed honours 200 couples in a grand celebration of unity and support
In a heartwarming ceremony that underscored the spirit of unity and generosity intrinsic to the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, presided over the tenth annual group wedding organized by the Sharjah Charity Association.

The event, held yesterday at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre, celebrated the matrimony of over 200 couples, including both Emiratis and residents, highlighting Sharjah’s commitment to fostering social bonds and supporting young couples embarking on their life journey together.

The ceremony commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, which set a solemn and blessed tone for the occasion.

In a moving address on behalf of all the grooms, Ahmed Al Jasmi expressed heartfelt gratitude towards His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for his gracious patronage of the event.

He also thanked Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed for his esteemed presence, underscoring the lasting impact of their support on the attendees.

Al Jasmi noted the indelible mark such benevolence leaves on their lives, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.

Furthering the sentiments of gratitude, Al Jasmi acknowledged the vital contributions made by the Sharjah Charity Association.

Their concerted efforts in easing the journey of young couples into married life, and the generosity of sponsors whose aid transcends local boundaries to assist grooms within the nation and beyond, were lauded.

Concluding his address, Al Jasmi extended congratulations to his fellow newlyweds, wishing them enduring happiness, stability, and success in building families that contribute to the nation's progress.

Highlighting the ceremony was the recognition of Abdul Rahim Al Zarouni, a prominent businessman, honored by the Deputy Ruler for his significant support of the group wedding initiative.

This recognition serves as a testament to the powerful synergy between philanthropy and governmental support in fostering societal welfare in the UAE.

Such events exemplify the dedication of Sharjah's leadership towards fostering an inclusive and supportive community, aligning with the broader vision for a harmonious and prosperous society.

The Sharjah communal wedding not only celebrates the sacred union of marriage but also reflects the emirate's unwavering commitment to its people's well-being and future.
