Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Ushers in a Year of Unprecedented Economic Growth

UAE's Vision 2024: A Commitment to Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Heritage Preservation
During a landmark Cabinet meeting held at Abu Dhabi's opulent Qasr Al Watan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, delineated his transformative vision for 2024.

Celebrating what he described as a 'year of unprecedented economic growth', Sheikh Mohammed underscored the UAE's flourishing status as a magnet for 'the best global expertise and wealth'.

His remarks coincided with an impressive achievement: the UAE's top rank in 223 international development indicators, further securing a top-five position in 444 others.

In a strategic move to harness this momentum, the Cabinet sanctioned the formation of the Emirates Entrepreneurship Council.

This initiative, spearheaded by Alia Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, is set to invigorate the entrepreneurial landscape.

A robust allocation of Dh300 million has been dedicated to uplifting youth-driven projects, a testament to the UAE's commitment to catalyzing the next generation of entrepreneurs.

'Our country is blessed, its goodness widespread and great, and its economic movement benefits everyone, far and near,' declared Sheikh Mohammed, emphasizing the pivotal role the youth will play in navigating and amplifying the economic movement towards new horizons.

In a bid to promote efficiency within the federal framework, the Cabinet unveiled a pioneering Dh7 million award, aimed at incentivizing government employees to streamline bureaucracy.

This initiative seeks to acknowledge and reward innovations that enhance the public sector’s service delivery.

'We will thank the creative people and celebrate the hard-working and dedicated government employees who work day and night to provide resources, serve the public, and consolidate the country’s competitiveness,' Sheikh Mohammed remarked, highlighting his administration's dedication to recognizing and stimulating public sector excellence.

Another focal area during the meeting was the preservation of the UAE's distinctive modern architectural heritage.

The Cabinet approved a national policy aimed at safeguarding this cultural legacy, with 130 sites already earmarked for preservation, and plans to expand this to 1,000 sites in coming years.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the symbiotic blend of preserving UAE heritage while fostering innovation, essential for linking the past with a future poised for progress.

Furthermore, the Cabinet sanctioned the formation of a new governmental system under the Education, Human Development, and Community Council.

Chaired by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with Deputy Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed, this council will integrate ministers, executive committee members, sectoral experts, and leaders from private education and social sectors.

This collective aims to cultivate a holistic and forward-thinking educational and social development agenda.

As the UAE strides into 2024, Sheikh Mohammed's visionary directives reflect a nation at the crossroads of innovation and tradition, committed to fostering an ecosystem where growth, entrepreneurship, and heritage preservation coexist in harmony.
