The U.S. President confirms Starlink internet service will continue while considering the future of his Tesla vehicle.
President
Donald Trump has announced that he has no plans to discontinue the Starlink internet service at the White House, despite recent tensions with
Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of
Tesla and Starlink.
Trump indicated that while he may consider relocating his
Tesla vehicle from the premises, he sees value in maintaining the satellite internet service, stating, 'It’s a good service.' Starlink, operated by Musk's SpaceX, provides high-speed broadband internet through a network of satellites.
In March, Trump purchased a red
Tesla Model S from Musk, who had been a close ally at the time.
However, a White House official commented last week that Trump might dispose of the vehicle following a public falling out with Musk.
The
Tesla car was observed parked outside the White House during the recent weekend.
During a statement on Saturday, Trump clarified his stance, saying he does not intend to repair his relationship with Musk.
However, he noted on Monday that he would not object to Musk reaching out to him in the future.
'Our relationship was good, and I wish him well,' he stated.
Musk responded to Trump's comments on social media, sharing a heart emoji in reaction to a video clip of Trump discussing their past interactions.
Tensions escalated last week when Musk publicly criticized Trump’s proposed tax and spending bill, leading to a series of derogatory exchanges between the two.
This public dispute underlines the complexities of their relationship, which has seen both camaraderie and conflict in recent months.
