The British government announced a new financial commitment to assist Laos in clearing vast areas of highly dangerous unexploded ordnance left over from the Vietnam War era. The funding, revealed during a visit by the United Kingdom Minister for the Indo-Pacific, aims to facilitate agricultural development, significantly reduce civilian casualties, and strengthen diplomatic ties between London and Vientiane.
