UAE Achieves Ranking as Second Safest Country in the World for 2025

The UAE's Safety Index Score Highlights its Global Security Standing in 2025
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been ranked as the second safest country in the world for 2025, according to data released by Numbeo, a crowd-sourced online database that focuses on various aspects of global living conditions.

The UAE achieved a Safety Index score of 84.5 points, placing it just behind Andorra, which topped the rankings with 84.7 points.

The UAE, home to over 200 nationalities, is widely recognized for its high quality of living, safety, and security.

The ranking reflects the country’s ongoing commitment to enhancing security measures aimed at protecting both residents and visitors.

Following the UAE in the rankings are Qatar in third place with a score of 84.2 points, and Oman in fifth place with 81.7 points.

Saudi Arabia secured the 14th position on the list, with a Safety Index of 76.1 points, while Bahrain was ranked 16th with 75.5 points.

Kuwait is positioned at 38th with 67.2 points.

In contrast, countries like Pakistan, India, and the Philippines placed significantly lower, with Pakistan at 65th (56.3 points), India at 66th (55.7 points), and the Philippines at 63rd (56.9 points).

Nepal was ranked 47th with a Safety Index of 63.3 points.

The United Kingdom came in at 87th with a score of 51.7 points, whereas the United States followed closely behind at 89th with 50.8 points.

This year marks a notable improvement in the UAE's global positioning, as it is also ranked 21st in the World Happiness Index for 2025, surpassing several major nations including the UK, the US, Germany, and France.

The UAE has previously distinguished itself by having three cities—Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah—rank among the top 10 safest cities in the world, according to a global crime index released in 2020. These cities claimed second, sixth, and seventh positions, respectively, in a survey encompassing nearly 400 cities worldwide.

In addition to its safety accolades, Dubai has emerged as the fourth most popular food destination globally on social media, outpacing famous cities such as Sydney, Chicago, and Paris, as reported by an international travel agency.

This recognition aligns with the UAE's broader objectives to enhance its global tourism profile and attract international visitors.
