The UAE Ministry of Finance has launched the pilot phase of its national electronic invoicing system, with selected businesses participating in an initial rollout designed to test implementation ahead of mandatory adoption in 2027. The system is aimed at strengthening tax transparency, reducing fraud risks, and improving efficiency in both government and commercial transactions as part of the country’s wider digital tax transformation.
