UAE Leaders Celebrate 53rd Eid Al Etihad with Unity and Tradition

A majestic march in Al Wathba honoured national pride and international friendship
In a grand celebration marking the 53rd Eid Al Etihad, the heart of the United Arab Emirates resonated with unity and tradition as His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, alongside esteemed Sheikhs and distinguished international guests, graced the March of the Union.

This auspicious event, orchestrated by the Presidential Court, forms a vibrant chapter of the Sheikh Zayed Festival 2024 and unfolded in the historic setting of Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi.

The roster of dignitaries who joined the festivities included Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania; Dr Lazarus Chakwera, President of the Republic of Malawi; and Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, accompanied by their esteemed delegations.

Their presence underscored the UAE's commitment to fostering international goodwill and collaboration.

Alongside them, an assembly of influential figures from the UAE were present, such as Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; and H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, amongst others, reflecting the shared leadership vision rooted deeply in national pride and unity.

The centerpiece of the event was a colorful procession of UAE tribes hailing from various regions, who initiated their march at Al Hosn Gate.

With the UAE flag held high and their voices raised in traditional songs, these representatives illustrated their profound allegiance and love for the nation.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed extended his greetings to the participants, lauding the display of national unity and reaffirming that the UAE’s steadfastness is nourished by the unwavering commitment of its people.

Those attending were treated to the UAE national anthem, a heartfelt welcome song, and traditional performances including the revered Al Azi, Al Ayyala, and Al Nadba dances.

Spectacular equestrian and camel displays captivated the audience, alongside a Mauritanian-themed performance symbolizing brotherhood.

The crescendo of the day's celebrations was an aerial salute by the UAE Air Force and Air Defence, a tribute to the vision and leadership that guide the nation’s progress and prosperity.

As the UAE continues to progress on its path of development and unity, events such as the March of the Union vividly reaffirm the values of loyalty, solidarity, and cultural richness that define and elevate the nation.
