UAE Lowers Legal Age of Adulthood to 18 Under New Civil Transactions Law

The UAE has officially reduced the legal age of adulthood from 21 to 18 following a federal decree-law on civil transactions, aligning legal capacity rules with employment and financial rights for young adults.
