A new agreement sets the stage for a six point four kilometre underground transport pilot with four stations, with construction expected to begin in late two thousand twenty-six.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, known as the TBC, has signed a contract to begin construction of the Dubai Loop, a new underground transport initiative intended to expand the city’s future mobility network.
The agreement marks a significant step toward delivering a pilot system that will include six point four kilometres of tunnel and four stations.
Construction is scheduled to begin in late two thousand twenty-six, laying the groundwork for a project designed to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global leader in next-generation infrastructure.
The Boring Company expressed appreciation for the support of Dubai’s leadership, specifically acknowledging the Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, as well as His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer and his team for their role in advancing the initiative.
The pilot phase is expected to serve as the foundation for broader development, reflecting Dubai’s continued focus on ambitious, technologically driven solutions to meet the demands of a rapidly growing city.
The contract signals a new chapter in Dubai’s long-term transport vision.
