A senior United Arab Emirates official has called for an immediate end to the conflict between Israel and Iran, warning that a prolonged war would bring a very difficult aftermath for the Gulf region.

Anwar Gargash emphasized that escalating military actions risk destabilizing strategic waterways and undermining decades of regional prosperity.

He urged leaders to recommit to diplomacy and warned that the longer the fighting continues, the more severe its consequences will become, both locally and beyond.
