Israel Confirms Assassination of Quds Force Commander in Tehran
Israeli Defense Minister announces the killing of Saeed Izadi, linking him to the funding of Hamas.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has confirmed the assassination of Saeed Izadi, the commander of the Palestinian Corps within Iran's Quds Force.
The operation reportedly took place in an apartment bombing approximately 140 kilometers south of Tehran.
Katz asserted that Izadi was instrumental in funding and arming Hamas in the lead-up to the attack on October 7, which has been described as a massacre.
He emphasized that Israel's capabilities are extensive, stating, 'Israel's long arm will reach all its enemies.' Reports have emerged indicating that a 16-year-old was also killed in the strike, although it remains unclear if both fatalities were a result of the same incident.
Katz characterized the operation as a 'huge achievement for Israeli intelligence and air force,' highlighting its significance in Israel's ongoing conflict with groups it views as threats.
