Abu Dhabi Environmental Authority Issues New Regulation for Environmental Consultancy Accreditation
New directives aim to enhance quality and compliance of environmental consultancy services in Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi Environmental Authority has issued Decision No. 4 of 2025, aimed at regulating the accreditation and registration of environmental consultancy offices within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The initiative is designed to improve the efficiency and quality of environmental consultancy services, ensuring adherence to the highest scientific and technical standards.
The regulation encompasses all environmental consultancy offices, including those licensed prior to the issuance of the decision as well as those seeking future licensing.
It applies to offices engaging in environmental consultancy, studies, and research as a primary focus or as part of their broader activities.
Under the provisions of the new decision, renewal or modification of licenses and permits for these offices will not proceed unless they are accredited and registered with the authority.
The Environmental Authority will coordinate with relevant authorities in the emirate to ensure effective implementation of the decision and its accompanying operational procedures.
Additionally, the authority announced plans to launch educational and awareness programs for environmental offices to familiarize them with the requirements and conditions for accreditation and registration.
This initiative also aims to disseminate relevant regulations, operational procedures, and technical guidelines to enhance the quality of services provided in this vital sector.
