Abu Dhabi International Airport commenced welcoming the first groups of pilgrims returning from Saudi Arabia after performing the Hajj pilgrimage this year, starting Monday morning.

The airport reported several flights arriving during the morning hours, with an expectation of an additional four flights landing in the evening.

High volumes of family members and relatives of the returning pilgrims gathered at the airport to welcome their loved ones.

Relevant authorities at the airport have implemented necessary measures to facilitate the smooth processing of returning pilgrims as they return to the United Arab Emirates.
