Series X Capital, launched in 2024, aims to invest in startups emerging from Alphabet's innovation lab.
A venture capital fund associated with Alphabet's renowned innovation lab, known as X, has successfully raised hundreds of millions of dollars aimed at investing in startups developed within this environment, according to sources familiar with the matter.
The fund, named Series X Capital, was founded in 2024 and is headed by Gideon Yu, the former CEO of YouTube and ex-CFO of
Facebook.
Series X Capital is currently projecting to exceed its initial fundraising target of $500 million later this year.
The fundraising efforts are anticipated to conclude by the third or fourth quarter of 2025.
