Dubai Municipality has introduced a pioneering service named 'Drive-Thru' within the Dubai Central Laboratory, marking the first initiative of its kind in the region for laboratory services, including materials testing and calibration of equipment.
This service is designed to facilitate the submission of samples and electro-mechanical equipment for testing and calibration without requiring users to leave their vehicles, thereby reducing waiting times by 90%, from ten minutes to just one minute.
This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency and quality of laboratory services and expedite testing and calibration processes.
The launch of the 'Drive-Thru' service is part of Dubai Municipality's ongoing efforts to leverage innovation in improving the customer experience for accessing government services.
The service adheres to high standards of quality and efficiency, minimizing time and effort while meeting customer needs and increasing satisfaction levels.
The 'Drive-Thru' facility provides a seamless and convenient experience for a diverse range of clients, including government, semi-government, and private entities, business owners across various commercial, economic, tourism, and industrial sectors, as well as professionals in environmental, health and safety, security, aviation, and aerospace sectors.
Additionally, it accommodates all community members, including senior citizens and individuals with disabilities.
Furthermore, the 'Drive-Thru' unit is equipped with advanced systems designed to maintain client privacy, featuring high-performance monitoring cameras.
The service ensures a rapid service delivery time of no more than one minute, contributing to the sustainability of ongoing development and improvement operations.
Engineer Hind Mahmoud Ahmed, Director of the Dubai Central Laboratory at Dubai Municipality, stated that the 'Drive-Thru' unit has been designed with innovative and advanced mechanisms to provide proactive laboratory services that exceed client expectations.
The initiative supports the continuous improvement of the customer journey by reducing service delivery time.
Moreover, the implementation of this unit is expected to enhance operational efficiency, with a projected increase of at least 30% in the number of testing and calibration requests during the first quarter of this year.
