Dubai Police Recognized as World's Leading Law Enforcement Agency

Dubai Police tops global rankings in Brand Finance's Institutional Identity Value Index, highlighting its commitment to excellence.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, congratulated the Dubai Police for leading the global rankings in the Institutional Identity Value Index released by Brand Finance.

In a post on his official X account, he reflected on the humble beginnings of the police force in February 1968, noting that, despite limited resources at the time, ambition remained high.

Sheikh Hamdan highlighted that Dubai Police was recognized as the strongest law enforcement brand globally, scoring an impressive 9.2 out of 10 in the annual report on global cities and soft power.

The report evaluated elements such as fairness in treatment, commitment and integrity, safety and security, as well as professionalism and transparency.

Berlin in London highlighted the pivotal role of Dubai Police in enhancing the soft power of the UAE, contributing approximately 57.9 billion dirhams (15.8 billion USD) to the Emirates' media identity value, which totals around 4.48 trillion dirhams (1.2 trillion USD).

Dubai Police achieved the top score of 9.2 compared to other leading global law enforcement agencies, outperforming the average in all 11 established metrics.

These include categories like fairness in treatment (57%), commitment and integrity (60%), safety and security assurance (67%), and innovation in crime reduction (54%).

Such results underline Dubai Police's status as not just a capable security entity, but also a catalyst for the UAE's soft power and economic growth.

Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Dubai Police Chief, extended gratitude to various leaders, including UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for their continued support.

He emphasized that the recent achievement demonstrates the confidence placed in the region's law enforcement and showcases Dubai Police’s role in fostering community security and quality of life.

Al Marri noted that the success of Dubai Police reflects a commitment to embodying the visionary leadership of Dubai aimed at excellence and global leadership.

The shift from traditional methods to innovative and adaptable security frameworks, including artificial intelligence and comprehensive digital transformation, has been key to establishing an effective operational ecosystem.

Major General Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Director of the Community Happiness Administration, expressed pride in the global recognition, which underscores community trust in the police force.

The index ranking affirms that Dubai is on the correct path in promoting concepts of social responsibility and improving quality of life through innovative security services.

The Director of Institutional Identity and Exhibitions, Major Abdullah Hamad Al Shamsi, described Dubai's AAA+ rating in the Institutional Identity Reputation Index as a testament to its successful branding strategy.

This rating reflects core values of transparency, innovation, equity, and efficiency that Dubai Police has embraced.

David Haigh, Chairman and CEO of Brand Finance, congratulated Dubai Police for its top ranking, which he attributed to the agency's commitment to innovation and community engagement.

The recognition not only reflects Dubai's efforts in enhancing its global reputation but also its capacity to convert institutional branding into substantial economic value for the nation.

In assessing Dubai Police's contribution to soft power, Brand Finance relied on a comprehensive study that included public perceptions from 10 countries and feedback from over 8,000 stakeholders.

The results confirm the force's significance in contributing to the Emirate's reputation and highlight its impactful role in shaping Dubai and the UAE's global image.
