Fabio Lima has officially bid farewell to the fans of Al Wasl FC in an emotional message shared on his Instagram account, marking the end of an 11-year tenure with the club.

Lima, recognized as a pivotal figure in Al Wasl's history, holds the record for the highest number of goals scored for the team, amassing a total of 176 goals in the UAE Pro League.

In his farewell note, Lima expressed his deep appreciation for the support he received throughout his time at the club.

He stated, 'Dear Al Wasl fans, today is a day I did not wish to come so soon, I am here to say goodbye and thank you, as I lived wonderful emotions during these amazing eleven seasons.

My family and I are grateful to everyone in the UAE, a country I hold in great esteem, and to this club, Al Wasl, which has entered my heart.'

Lima further extended his gratitude to the friends he made at the club during his years there, saying, 'To all the friends that the club has given me during this period, I express my utmost respect.

Thank you for truly sharing the beautiful and challenging moments with me.

It has been an honor and a privilege to be on the field for 352 matches, scoring 236 goals, and assisting 80 goals, while writing my name in history as the league's all-time top scorer in a jersey of this club with 176 goals.'

He concluded his farewell message by expressing a desire to remain in the memories of Al Wasl fans: 'I hope my name remains etched in the memory of Al Wasl's supporters.

I have given everything I have since day one.
