French Golfer Martin Koulibaly Enters Top 10 of Dubai Race Rankings
Koulibaly advances to eighth place after winning the Turkish Open, marking his first career title.
French golfer Martin Koulibaly has made a significant leap in the global rankings by entering the top ten, specifically taking eighth place in the 'Race to Dubai' standings for the DP World Tour following his maiden victory at the Turkish Open.
The event concluded recently in Antalya, where the 22-year-old Koulibaly finished with a score of 17 under par, earning 585 points and rising from 19th to eighth with a total of 1,157 points on the leaderboard.
This triumph marked Koulibaly's first title in just his 15th appearance on the global tour.
Earlier in the season, he achieved a fourth-place finish at the Bahrain Bapco Energies Championship and a fifth-place finish at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, showcasing his competitive performance throughout the year.
The Turkish Open, which was sponsored by Turkish Airlines, is part of the European Tour series.
Currently, the DP World Tour season features at least 42 tournaments across 26 countries on various continents, all under the theme of the 'Race to Dubai'.
Players aim to secure positions within the top 70 of the 'Race to Dubai' rankings to qualify for the final stages, starting with the Abu Dhabi Championship at Yas Links from November 6-9. Following this, the top 50 players will advance to the DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates, scheduled for November 13-16.
