Traffic Delays Anticipated in Dubai During ICC Champions Trophy Final
RTA advises motorists to prepare for disruptions on key routes as India faces New Zealand.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has issued a warning regarding potential traffic delays on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Hessa Street on Sunday, March 9, 2025. These delays are expected due to the ICC Champions Trophy final scheduled to take place at Dubai Sports City, where India will compete against New Zealand.
The RTA has forecasted significant traffic disruptions during two key timeframes: from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, coinciding with pre-event travel, and again from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, following the conclusion of the match.
In light of these anticipated disruptions, the RTA has recommended that motorists plan their journeys accordingly, allowing extra time for travel.
The advisory emphasizes the importance of early departure to facilitate smoother travel during the event, which is expected to draw a substantial number of attendees and sports fans to the area.
