UAE and Pakistan Leaders Meet at World Government Summit to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Dubai: On February 11, 2025, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Dubai, met with Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, during the opening day of the World Government Summit (WGS) 2025. The meeting was attended by various dignitaries, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid welcomed the Pakistani Prime Minister and his delegation, emphasizing the long-standing historical ties between the UAE and Pakistan.
The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in the sectors of economics and development, with both officials expressing a commitment to fostering cooperation in mutually beneficial areas.
During the meeting, the importance of global collaboration and the need for unified approaches to tackle present challenges and identify future opportunities were highlighted.

The gathering included prominent figures such as Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Emirates Airline.
Other attendees were Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation.
Both leaders acknowledged the critical role of the WGS in bringing together international leaders and decision-makers to share insights geared towards enhancing governance and fostering robust partnerships.
