The UAE Cabinet has approved a resolution banning children under 15 from creating or operating social media accounts, making the country the first in the Arab region to introduce such a measure. Platforms will be required to enforce stricter age verification systems, while users aged 15 and 16 will be subject to enhanced protections, including content controls and screen-time management.
