Joby Aviation has delivered its first electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft to the United Arab Emirates, marking a major step toward launching flying taxi services in the region.

The move sent Joby's shares soaring 14% as the company also began piloted eVTOL flights in Dubai, cementing its global lead in the emerging air taxi market and signaling the start of work to prepare for commercial readiness.
