Al-Nasr Players Bid Farewell to Captain Adel Taarabt

Al-Nasr team members express gratitude and emotions as Adel Taarabt departs after mutually agreeing to end his contract.
Players of Al-Nasr club have bid an emotional farewell to their captain, Adel Taarabt, following the termination of his contract with the team by mutual agreement.

Taarabt's departure marks the end of his tenure with Al-Nasr, where he spent two and a half seasons.

The farewell messages reflect his significant role and influence within the team.

Taarabt's last match with Al-Nasr was against Qatar Club, after which the team celebrated winning the Qatari-Emirati Super Cup, their first major trophy in five years.

In a surprising move after the match, Taarabt requested to terminate his contract, a decision that elicited disappointment from fans who regarded him as a team icon.

Following the official announcement of his departure, current and former players, including Hamdan Al-Kamali and Khalid Jalal, expressed their sentiments through social media.

Taarabt reciprocated these gestures by posting a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing gratitude towards Al-Nasr's management, teammates, staff, and supporters.

'I am sincerely thankful to Al-Nasr's management, my teammates, the coaching and administrative staff, and all members of the Al-Nasr family for their support and encouragement throughout my time with the club,' Taarabt stated.

He added, 'To the passionate Blue fans, it was an honor to represent the Emirati football giant for two and a half seasons.

As a captain, I endeavored to work tirelessly to meet your aspirations and dreams.

I am deeply grateful for your love, support, and encouragement.'

Several players replied with their messages of support.

Belgian star Othman Boussaid commented, 'I’ll miss you, brother.

Best of luck in the future.' Meanwhile, Hamdan Al-Kamali remarked, 'Thank you, my brother.

We are all aware of everything.' Khalid Jalal, who left the team last season, said, 'It was a pleasure playing with you.

I wish you and your family all the best.'

Other heartfelt messages followed, including one from Majed Al-Tunaiji: 'We will miss you, my brother, and thank you for everything.

I learned a lot from you, and I appreciate it deeply.' Defender Globert Lima expressed his wishes, saying, 'All the best to you, captain.

Thank you for all the lessons.' Taarabt replied with appreciation: 'Thank you, brother.

Stay strong; you are the best defender.' Al-Nasr player Mohamed Abdulrahman stated, 'Thank you, big brother.

We will miss you.

We learned a lot from you, wishing you all the best for the rest of your life.' Rising star Moussa N’Diaye called him the best player he has played with, wishing him well.

A notable fan comment on Taarabt’s farewell post read: 'As an Al-Nasr supporter, I must say this is not how I wanted things to end, but I am forever grateful for your contributions to the jersey and the fans.

You will always be a legend for playing for my club.

Thank you very much, and I wish you all the success in your journey.

The Al-Nasr street will never forget you.' The player responded by sharing a heart emoji.
