The Palestinian Ministry of Health reports that all hospitals in northern Gaza have ceased operations due to ongoing violence.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced today that all hospitals in northern Gaza have been rendered non-operational amid escalating conflict.
In a statement published on their official
Facebook page, the Ministry cited intensified attacks surrounding the Indonesian Hospital, which has blocked the access of patients, medical staff, and supplies, ultimately crippling the medical facility's functions.
The announcement follows previous reports of significant damage and operational cessation at other medical centers, specifically the Beit Hanoun Hospital and the Kamal Adwan Hospital.
The complete shutdown of hospitals in the northern district has raised serious concerns about the health crisis developing amidst ongoing hostilities.
The Ministry of Health also reported that the siege around the hospitals has drastically impeded the arrival of casualties, raising alarms about the rising number of civilian casualties in northern Gaza due to continued military actions.
Reports indicate widespread panic among patients, injured individuals, and medical personnel, which severely hampers the provision of emergency medical care.
Additionally, it was noted that two patients were injured in attempts to escape from the Indonesian Hospital amid the chaos.
The Ministry has urgently appealed to relevant authorities for immediate intervention to ensure the protection of medical staff, patients, and wounded individuals within hospitals.
This crisis comes in the wake of previous declarations regarding the operational status of hospitals, including the recent shutdown of the European Gaza Hospital, underscoring a systematic targeting of medical facilities amid the ongoing conflict.
