Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has announced the addition of Bitcoin.com, a leading global company in cryptocurrency news, financial education, and self-custody solutions for digital assets, to its Crypto Centre.
The opening of Bitcoin.com’s first office in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region in Dubai reaffirms the DMCC’s role as a global center for innovation in blockchain and Web 3.0 technologies.
The Crypto Centre, located in Uptown Tower, hosts over 650 active companies involved in various sectors of the digital asset ecosystem and its related value chain.
These include blockchain infrastructure providers, digital token platforms, metaverse solutions, and decentralized finance projects.
With a comprehensive suite of commercial services, mentorship programs, access to funding, targeted accelerator programs, and exclusive partnerships with major global entities in Web 3.0 technology, the centre has become the largest gathering of digital asset firms in the region.
Bitcoin.com has played a significant role in raising awareness globally about digital assets through its user-friendly educational platforms and global news site.
By strategically expanding into the region via the Crypto Centre, the company aims to leverage the momentum of Dubai's digital economy and contribute its global expertise to accelerate the growth of the cryptocurrency ecosystem in the area.
Bilal Jsomah, Director of Business Ecosystems at DMCC, stated that the Crypto Centre aims to attract the brightest minds and most ambitious companies in blockchain to shape the future of the digital economy from Dubai.
He noted that Bitcoin.com’s decision to select the Centre as its regional headquarters serves as strong evidence of the growing global appeal of DMCC and the promising opportunities that Dubai currently offers.
Jsomah emphasized that while focusing on driving innovation, enhancing collaboration, and connecting registered firms to new markets, DMCC remains the preferred partner for Web 3.0 technology companies looking to grow and enhance their businesses.
Corbin Fraser, CEO of Bitcoin.com, remarked that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) sets a benchmark in digital asset leadership, with Dubai providing clear and sophisticated regulatory frameworks, rapid licensing mechanisms, and a genuine commitment to innovation.
He added that the emirate currently offers a supportive environment and favorable climate for businesses engaged in Web 3.0 technology from around the world.
In particular, DMCC is noted for its advanced infrastructure and integrated ecosystem within the digital asset sector.
