The UAE Football Association's Disciplinary Committee imposes fines on clubs following crowd misconduct during professional matches.
The Disciplinary Committee of the UAE Football Association convened on Tuesday to address various incidents that occurred in recent youth and professional matches, resulting in a series of penalties aimed at maintaining decorum within the sport.
Among the decisions made, the committee issued a warning to Al Emarat Club due to its supporters' misconduct, as fans reportedly verbally abused the match officials during an Under-11 (B) league game.
Additionally, Al Jazira Club was penalized with an automatic loss of 3-0 against Al Ain Club for violating player substitution regulations in the Under-15 (A) league.
In a separate case, Al Jazira's player, Maid Salah, received a three-match suspension and a fine of 15,000 AED for physical aggression towards an opponent during a competitive match in the First Division.
In connection to the match between Al Wasl and Shabab Al Ahli, part of the ADNOC Professional League's Round 23, the committee handed down significant financial penalties.
Shabab Al Ahli was fined 70,000 AED due to fan misconduct, which included verbal abuse directed at the rival team’s supporters and the throwing of liquid containers onto the field.
Similarly, Al Wasl faced a heftier fine of 80,000 AED for its supporters lighting a smoke grenade and engaging in combined misconduct, which involved verbal abuse towards the opposing fans and throwing items on the pitch and at rival supporters.
These disciplinary measures reflect the committee's ongoing efforts to uphold standards of sportsmanship and safety in football events across the UAE.
