The authority collaborates with event organizers to provide health services for participants and spectators.
In a demonstration of its commitment to uphold high healthcare standards and ensure the readiness of the health sector for major events, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has announced its participation in providing medical support for the sixth edition of the Dubai Games, set to occur in 2025. This initiative aims to offer comprehensive health services to players, organizers, and the public, in partnership with Dubai's events security committee.

The Dubai Games are recognized as the premier community sports event in the emirate, reflecting Dubai's vibrant image, and are held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the UAE.

The upcoming edition features a new identity to promote healthy living and teamwork, attracting large numbers of participants and spectators.

This year, the event includes 244 teams across various categories: 84 teams in the Men's Government Challenge, 26 teams in the Women's Government Challenge, 28 teams in the Community Challenge, and 50 teams in the Cities Challenge.

Khalifa Baqer, Executive Director of Operations at DHA, expressed that the authority is committed to mobilizing its resources to ensure the successful execution of major events in Dubai, in collaboration with event organizing partners.

He emphasized the goal of delivering world-class healthcare services to create a safe environment for everyone involved.

Furthermore, Dr. A'id Shahin, Director of Events and Community Services at DHA, stated that a comprehensive plan has been established to support participants and the audience through the setup of a fully equipped field clinic at Dubai Festival City.

This clinic will feature a team of 40 medical and nursing personnel specializing in emergency medicine and general healthcare, along with a management team of 10 individuals.

The facility will operate for four days during the main tournament from February 20 to 23.

In addition, DHA is enhancing its rapid response capabilities in collaboration with the Dubai Ambulance Services through heightened readiness in its affiliated hospitals, ensuring the highest safety standards for all attendees.
