Dubai Islamic Bank Provides AED 43 Million in Charitable Support

Donations directed to Saudi bin Rashid Al Muala Foundation and Bayt Al Khair
Dubai Islamic Bank has announced a financial commitment of AED 43 million to both the Saudi bin Rashid Al Muala Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works and Bayt Al Khair.

Specifically, the Saudi bin Rashid Al Muala Foundation received AED 15 million to support its charitable projects and programs for the current year.

Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Muala, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, praised the role of Dubai Islamic Bank in supporting the community across various demographics.

He emphasized the bank's ongoing commitment to charitable organizations within the country.

The Foundation focuses on providing assistance to economically disadvantaged individuals and low-income families, aiming to bring hope and dignity to many individuals.

The support includes covering tuition fees for numerous students at different educational levels, as well as addressing rental issues, providing medical assistance, and facilitating the payment of utility bills for low-income families moving into new homes.

In addition, Bayt Al Khair announced that it has received AED 28 million in charitable support from Dubai Islamic Bank as part of the bank's annual contributions to enhance the organization's monthly and emergency aid to low-income Emirati families and individuals registered in its database, which includes over 65,000 families and individuals in need.

This contribution reflects the bank's ongoing commitment to support vulnerable families and individuals within the community, reaffirming the strategic partnership between Dubai Islamic Bank and Bayt Al Khair, which has been in place for over 36 years.

Nawaf Abdullah Al Rayesi, Director of Community Services at the bank, presented a donation cheque to Mohammed Abu Rahima, Assistant General Director of Bayt Al Khair, following a workshop on the Shari'ah compliance rules for managing the bank's Zakat funds.

Aabdeen Tahir Al Awadi, General Director of Bayt Al Khair, expressed gratitude on behalf of the organization, recognizing Dubai Islamic Bank's commitment to corporate social responsibility.

He noted the continuous engagement of the bank’s Community Support Unit with the association to explore ways to assist the families and cases under the association's care, wishing for blessings upon all contributors involved in this support initiative.
