Dubai Launches 'Eid in Dubai' Campaign Under the Direction of Sheikh Ahmad

The initiative aims to enhance Eid al-Fitr festivities across the emirate in collaboration with various stakeholders.
Under the directives of Sheikh Ahmad bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, Brand Dubai has officially announced the launch of the 'Eid in Dubai' campaign.

This initiative was introduced during a press conference held at the Dubai Media Office and aims to coordinate distinctive festive activities for Eid al-Fitr throughout the emirate.

The 'Eid in Dubai' campaign, organized by Brand Dubai in collaboration with governmental, semi-governmental, and private entities, follows the successful implementation of the 'Ramadan in Dubai' campaign.

The objective remains to achieve high levels of harmony and integration among the various celebrations that permeate the vibrant neighborhoods and districts of Dubai, ensuring that the community shares in the joy of Eid.

During the media briefing, representatives from the campaign's partners highlighted the successful conclusion of #Ramadan_in_Dubai, which featured over 200 events and initiatives launched by government and private entities.

The campaign garnered significant attention on social media, with approximately 10 million views recorded across various platforms, alongside around 900,000 interactions with the campaign's content and 9,000 published posts, in addition to around 200 media coverage segments from local and regional media outlets.

Muna Ghanem Al Marri, Vice President and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, expressed gratitude to all partners involved in #Ramadan_in_Dubai for their efforts in executing the campaign to reflect the value and significance of the holy month.

Al Marri stated, 'We thank all our partners for their exceptional efforts and activities during the holy month.

The spirit of teamwork remains the foundation for the success of Dubai's initiatives.

With the launch of #Eid_in_Dubai, we affirm the integration of work systems and cooperation that has always characterized our grand events throughout the year.

This collaboration is the essence of every effort aimed at enhancing Dubai's pioneering status on both regional and global levels.'

The campaign is aligned with the goals of the 'Year of Community', reflecting the spirit of the Emirati community and its connection to its rich cultural and social heritage, especially during occasions that highlight the values and traditions of the UAE.

The community plays a central role in this cultural framework, which will always symbolize the identity of the Emirati people, especially during occasions where various community components actively participate.

Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, provided an overview of the numerous events included in the Ramadan campaign, emphasizing the significant cooperation among all partners that contributed to achieving the campaign's objectives and bringing joy to residents and visitors alike.

Regarding the 'Eid in Dubai' campaign, Al Suwaidi mentioned, 'The festive displays for Eid al-Fitr will emphasize the authenticity of our culture and national identity while reflecting Dubai's global character and the joy brought to residents, expatriates, and visitors.

Brand Dubai will continue to coordinate with all partners organizing Eid festivities to present celebrations that align with Dubai's status and exemplify creativity and excellence.'

On the concluding notes of the #Ramadan_in_Dubai campaign and the societal echoes it received, Al Suwaidi noted, 'We are grateful to all partners in government, semi-government, and private institutions, as well as the community members whose engagement was central to the success of our events.

We also express our happiness for the media support surrounding the campaign from diverse outlets, which aimed to showcase how Dubai enlivens the hearts of residents and visitors at all times and occasions.'

The campaign featured a variety of events including community gatherings, cultural performances, workshops, lectures, and multiple community sports competitions.

Notably, vibrant decorations illuminated busy streets, while main mosque facades showcased special displays.

Shopping centers also featured exclusive offers and celebratory atmospheres.

Additionally, Dubai welcomed visitors at Dubai Airport with themed messages, reflecting the emirate's unique approach to hospitality.

During the media event, winners of the 'Dubai Homes in Ramadan' contest, held in collaboration with Dubai Frijan, were announced, recognizing the best-decorated residences throughout the month.

Al Marri awarded the winners, which included Asma Mohammed Al Yasi from Muhaisnah 3, who won AED 100,000.

The second place went to Mansour Mohammed Al Zahdi from Al Warqa 3, winning AED 60,000, and the third place was awarded to Abbas Mohammed Al Khaja from Al Warqa 3, who received AED 40,000, along with other prizes consisting of travel tickets for Umrah.

The recipients of Umrah travel tickets included participants from various neighborhoods and areas such as Jumeirah 1, Al Mazhar 1, Al Barsha 3, and others.

Furthermore, Al Marri honored the partners of the 'Ramadan in Dubai' campaign, which included the Roads and Transport Authority, Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Dubai Airports, General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Dubai Frijan, Dubai Media Foundation, Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai Sports Council, Community Development Authority, Dubai Holding, and others.

The celebrations for 'Eid in Dubai' organized by Brand Dubai, in collaboration with the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment and various governmental and private entities, are set to take place from March 25 to April 6, 2025. The festivities will include a range of recreational, artistic, and cultural events, as well as fireworks displays that convey the celebratory atmosphere synonymous with Dubai during the Eid period.

Additional offerings will include exclusive packages from hotels and popular tourism destinations, alongside exceptional shopping deals and grand raffle draws.

The 'Ramadan in Dubai' campaign experienced extensive media coverage, contributing to an increase in public awareness of various activities, their locations, and times through reports, television coverage, and podcasts.

Social media platforms and digital channels played significant roles in raising awareness of the campaign and its constituents, with numerous influencers showcasing the festive elements in Dubai through videos highlighting the emirate's celebration of the month known for generosity and giving.

Various activities included distinguished lighting of streets and key landmarks, community events, lectures, and collective iftar gatherings, as well as the iconic 'iftar cannon' showcased at several prime locations in Dubai.
