120,000 Worshippers Attend Eid al-Fitr Prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque
Significant turnout amid restrictions on Palestinians from West Bank accessing Jerusalem.
On Sunday, approximately 120,000 worshippers participated in Eid al-Fitr prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
Residents from Jerusalem and other areas of historic Palestine began gathering at the mosque from pre-dawn hours to observe the festive prayers marking the end of Ramadan.
The prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque are considered one of the largest gatherings for Eid in the region.
However, Israeli authorities imposed stringent restrictions, preventing many Palestinians from the West Bank from reaching Jerusalem to partake in the celebrations at the holy site.
Access limitations have been a point of contention, affecting the religious observances of the Palestinian community during significant Islamic celebrations.
