Dubai Officer Joins Elite Skydivers for Spectacular Leap from Burj Khalifa
Lieutenant Ahmed Al Shehhi participates in the EXIT 139 event, showcasing extraordinary aerial skills and precision from the world's tallest building.
Lieutenant Ahmed Al Shehhi of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai recently made headlines by leaping from the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, alongside 31 of the globe's premier skydivers.
This remarkable event, known as EXIT 139, was meticulously organized by XDubai, in collaboration with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Skydive Dubai, and Emaar.
EXIT 139 is notable for being the first global exhibition of its kind, assembling elite skydiving athletes from 15 different countries.
Over the course of two days, these athletes demonstrated their skills in free-fall performance, contributing to the event's reputation for pushing the limits of aerial stunts.
The history of skydiving from the Burj Khalifa was highlighted, recalling the first recorded jump from the building in 2014.
XDubai, known for its focus on extreme sports and aerial innovations, erected a specialized platform extending 12 meters out from the balcony on the 139th floor of the Burj Khalifa.
This structure provided a unique launch point for skydivers, while strict safety protocols were enforced throughout the event.
A total of 437 jumps were completed, allowing participants to engage in a spectacular display of skill and bravery.
Following the jump, Lieutenant Al Shehhi expressed the significance of the experience, stating, "Jumping from the Burj Khalifa is a dream for every skydiver.
It’s not just about defying gravity—it’s about breaking the mental barriers we impose on ourselves." The event attracted considerable attention, emphasizing Dubai's ongoing commitment to showcasing extreme sports and pushing the boundaries of human achievement.
