Dubai Police Crown Ironman Champions in Fitness Showdown
Dubai Police honors top competitors at the Ironman Championship, promoting fitness and healthy lifestyles.
The General Department of Transport and Rescue at Dubai Police, in conjunction with the Positive Spirit Council, concluded the Ironman Championship with an awards ceremony recognizing the top competitors.
Major General Rashid Khalifa Batti bin Darwish Al Falasi, Director of the General Department of Transport and Rescue, presided over the ceremony, accompanied by Deputy Director Brigadier Nabeel Abdullah Al Redha, Colonel Yahya Hussain Mohammed, Deputy Director of the Search and Rescue Department, and Colonel Abdullah Mohammed Beisho, Head of the Land Rescue Section and Chairman of the Organizing Committee.
The championship featured intense competition across three endurance disciplines: a 500-meter swim, a 5,500-meter cycling segment, and a 2,200-meter run.
Lieutenant Khalid Sabeel Al Maas secured first place, followed by Corporal Hamad Essam Abdulrahman in second, and Corporal Hassan Abdulrahman Mohammed in third.
Major General Al Falasi congratulated all participants and praised the event's success, affirming that the championship underscores Dubai Police's commitment to promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles through regular sporting activities.
He emphasized the pivotal role of sports in enhancing physical well-being, boosting fitness levels, shaping character, and developing personal capabilities, which align with broader strategies aimed at improving the quality of life in the region.
