Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority Grants Naming Rights for Metro Station to Life Pharmacy

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority Grants Naming Rights for Metro Station to Life Pharmacy

The agreement establishes a ten-year partnership allowing Life Pharmacy to brand a Dubai Metro station, enhancing public-private collaboration.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has awarded naming rights for the Metro station formerly known as "United Arab Emirates Exchange" to Life Pharmacy.

The station will henceforth be referred to as "Life Pharmacy Metro Station" under a ten-year agreement.

The contract was signed by RTA in collaboration with Hyper Media, while Mada Media served as the authorized delegate of the RTA through an existing franchise agreement.

Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Younes, Executive Director of the Rail Agency at RTA, expressed satisfaction with the signing of this deal, describing it as a positive addition to the RTA's initiative on naming rights for metro stations.

This initiative was launched in 2009 and has experienced ongoing success, being regarded as a pioneering project globally.

Younes emphasized the RTA's dedication to fostering successful partnerships with the private sector, recognizing its critical role in driving national economic growth and contributing to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

He noted that such public-private partnership models enable knowledge exchange and create employment opportunities across various fields, advancing governmental objectives.

Mohammad Al Hammadi, CEO of Mada Media, conveyed his enthusiasm for this strategic partnership with Life Pharmacy, asserting that the naming rights project aims to transform advertising spaces into influential platforms.

He pointed out that this partnership allows naming rights sponsors to broaden their reach and enhance visibility in line with their commercial activities.

The agreement presents a distinctive investment opportunity for Life Pharmacy, capitalizing on the strategic locations of Dubai Metro stations, including the newly named station, to boost brand visibility and deepen engagement with passengers.

Abdulrahman Abdul Naser, Chairman and Managing Director of Life Pharmacy Group, communicated pride in collaborating with RTA and Mada Media for naming rights at a vital transit hub within the integrated rail network.

He noted that this station has served countless passengers over a decade, delivering considerable added value and connectivity.

The partnership extends beyond mere naming rights, reflecting Life Pharmacy's broader commitment to the city and community.

Its association with a major metro station signifies the company’s integral role in the rhythm and movement of Dubai.

Notably, from May to August 2025, the RTA plans to update and rename metro station signage on both exterior and interior displays across all stations.

The new name will also be integrated into the RTA's smart digital systems and public transport applications, alongside audio announcements on trains as they approach and arrive at the station.
