Dubai to Host the Prestigious World Congress of Neurosurgery 2025

In a landmark achievement for the Middle East, Dubai has been selected as the host city for the 19th World Congress of Neurosurgery, scheduled to take place from December 1st to 4th, 2025.
This prestigious global medical event, organized biennially by the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS), marks the first time it will be held in the region, reflecting Dubai’s growing prominence on the international stage.
Under the theme 'Convergence in Neurosurgery,' the congress is expected to draw 4,000 participants, including thought leaders, decision-makers, innovators, and influencers in the field of neurological sciences.
Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, emphasized that the WFNS's choice to host the event in Dubai underscores the city's continuous advancements in the knowledge economy, aligned with the visionary leadership of the emirate.
Business events remain a cornerstone for driving economic development and growth, particularly in healthcare and medical sciences.
This gathering will unite top-tier scientists, leading business figures, and pioneering innovators, thereby reinforcing Dubai's status as a beacon of scientific innovation, Al Khaja added.
Dr. Mohammed Abdulaziz Al Olama, the President of the Emirates Society of Neurological Surgery, also noted the significance of the congress.
It will convene some of the most skilled neurosurgeons worldwide, fostering the exchange of ideas and discussion of new innovations, and bolstering Dubai's reputation as a premier destination for specialized medical events.
The bid to host this distinguished congress was powered by extensive support from both private and public sectors, including the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Dubai Health Authority, and the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, highlighting a collaborative spirit and commitment to advancing Dubai’s health tourism capabilities.
