Emirates and Flydubai to Launch Seven New Destinations by July 2025

The airlines expand their global networks with new routes and increased services, enhancing connectivity from Dubai.
Emirates Airlines and Flydubai have announced plans to launch seven new destinations within their global networks, starting from their operational hubs in Dubai until July 2025. The announcements include the resumption of services to seasonal destinations and an increase in flights to select locations.

Emirates Airlines, recognized as the largest international carrier in the world, is set to bolster its presence in Asia by introducing daily direct flights from Dubai to Shenzhen, China, commencing on July 1. Additionally, the airline will operate four weekly flights to Da Nang, Vietnam starting June 2, and three weekly flights to Siem Reap, Cambodia, beginning June 3. This service will include connections through Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.

Furthermore, Emirates will increase its operations with a third direct flight between Dubai and Melbourne starting March 30, and will reinstate its third daily flight between Dubai and Rome effective June 1. This additional service is expected to add more than 2,530 weekly seats between Dubai and Rome.

The airline will also introduce weekly flights to Madagascar starting April 2.

On the other hand, Flydubai has announced the launch of four new routes in Iran, with services to Bushehr and Tabriz starting March 13, and a flight to Qeshm Island beginning March 14. Additionally, Flydubai plans to operate daily flights to Antalya, Turkey, as part of its summer seasonal schedule, starting June 5.

Also announced is the resumption of seasonal summer flights to Bodrum and Trabzon in Turkey, along with Antalya, from June to September 2025. Flydubai will also commence new summer seasonal routes to El Alamein, Egypt, and again to Antalya between June and September 2025, providing travelers with more options during the peak season.

Currently, Emirates and Flydubai operate a combined total of 273 global destinations with a fleet of 347 aircraft.

Emirates currently operates passenger and cargo flights to 148 destinations across 80 countries, while Flydubai has services to over 125 destinations in 55 countries covering regions including Africa, Central Asia and the Caucasus, Central Europe, Southeast Europe, and the Gulf Cooperation Council and Middle Eastern nations, as well as South Asia and Southeast Asia.

Emirates and Flydubai have been in partnership for seven years, allowing travelers from both airlines access to a uniquely extensive network, which has significantly transformed travel to and from Dubai.

Since their collaboration, they have operated over 1.5 million flights from 2017 to November 2024, transporting more than 19 million passengers, a number equivalent to the combined populations of Paris and New York City.

In terms of fleet composition, Emirates operates a substantial fleet of 259 wide-body aircraft, including both the Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 models.

Flydubai operates a single-fleet model consisting of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft, which includes 29 of the new-generation Boeing 737-800 and 56 Boeing 737 MAX 8, in addition to three Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft.
