Emirates Health Services Achieves International Accreditation for Rehabilitation Centers

The UAE becomes the largest accredited network for rehabilitation facilities in the Middle East with 16 certified centers.
Emirates Health Services has reached a significant milestone in international accreditation, becoming the leading entity in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in terms of the number of accredited rehabilitation facilities.

The organization received certification from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for a comprehensive network of 16 healthcare centers under its umbrella.

This unprecedented achievement adds to the institution's array of international accreditations, reflecting the growing global confidence in the quality of the Emirati healthcare system and its leadership in delivering specialized healthcare services in accordance with the highest international standards and practices.

Dr. Youssef Mohamed Al Serkal, Director General of Emirates Health Services, expressed pride in this accomplishment, viewing it as an international endorsement of the institution's leadership in developing specialized rehabilitation services.

He noted it as evidence of the progress made in constructing an innovative health model in line with the vision and directives of the UAE's leadership.

The accreditation from CARF enhances the institution's capability for smart expansion in rehabilitation services, providing advanced therapeutic experiences tailored to meet patient needs and exceed their expectations, thereby bolstering its position among the leading countries globally in healthcare quality.

CARF accreditation is a prestigious international standard in the field of rehabilitation.

The institution's receipt of this comprehensive certification underscores its commitment to improving quality of life through the provision of efficient and reliable sustainable therapeutic services, embedded within a healthcare system focused on innovation and integrated care, consistent with national health goals and strategies.

The accreditation encompassed all eligible hospitals within the Emirates Health Services framework, including the Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Center in Ras Al Khaimah.

This center successfully underwent a thorough evaluation process lasting several days, conducted by a team of CARF experts.

The evaluation involved a review of policies, assessment of rehabilitation programs, extensive interviews with technical and administrative staff, discussions with patients and their families, field visits, and analysis of statistical indicators and performance outcomes.
