Emergency response teams successfully manage a fire in a 67-storey residential building, ensuring safety for over 3,800 residents.
Dubai: A significant fire incident occurred late on Friday evening in a 67-storey residential building situated in the Dubai Marina area.

The Dubai Civil Defence teams responded promptly, managing to extinguish the blaze within six hours.

Emergency response efforts focused on both controlling the fire and ensuring the safe evacuation of residents from the affected building.

Initial reports indicated that the fire ignited around 1:30 AM and had been raging for approximately two hours prior to the first containment efforts.

Firefighters worked tirelessly to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent structures, while additional emergency units facilitated the evacuation process.

Authorities coordinated with the building’s developer to secure temporary housing for those impacted by the incident, underscoring the emphasis on resident safety and well-being.

The Dubai Media Office communicated the progress through social media updates throughout the early hours of Saturday.

At approximately 1:44 AM, it confirmed that all residents had been evacuated, prioritizing health and safety during the operation.

In subsequent updates, the office reported that ambulance teams and medical personnel were on the scene to provide comprehensive medical and mental health support to the evacuated residents.

By 2:21 AM, officials announced the successful evacuation of 3,820 residents from 764 individual apartments, with no injuries reported.

As operations continued, Civil Defence teams maintained control measures to ensure the situation remained stable.

As of 2:34 AM, it was reported that efforts to fully contain the fire were ongoing, with civil defence teams focused on cooling hot spots and managing the aftermath of the blaze.

While residents were observed at the site, various safety protocols were adhered to by the emergency crews, who remained vigilant in their assessment of the surrounding areas and the structural integrity of the building.

This incident adds to the ongoing discourse on fire safety and emergency preparedness in high-rise residential buildings within urban settings.
