Dense fog expected in certain areas of Abu Dhabi until mid-morning, with increased humidity and a rise in temperatures nationwide.
Abu Dhabi, UAE – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a fog alert for Abu Dhabi, advising motorists to exercise caution due to expected dense fog in several areas.
The alert remains in effect until 9:30 AM local time.
Areas notably affected include Al Shahamah and Al Rahba, where visibility is significantly reduced.
In response to the weather conditions, Abu Dhabi Police have urged drivers to adjust their speed and heightened focus while navigating the roads.
In addition to fog, the weather bureau has reported a general increase in temperature across the United Arab Emirates.
Maximum temperatures in internal regions are expected to range from 26 to 31 degrees Celsius, while coastal areas and islands will see temperatures between 25 to 29 degrees Celsius.
Mountain regions are forecasted to experience cooler temperatures, ranging from 17 to 22 degrees Celsius.
The humidity levels are also rising, particularly during the night and into Thursday morning, which may lead to further fog or mist formation in coastal and inland areas.
Light to moderate winds are anticipated, with speeds varying between 10 to 20 km/h and occasionally reaching up to 35 km/h. The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea are expected to experience slight to moderate sea conditions at times.
As the day progresses, the weather is expected to transition to sunny conditions, becoming partly cloudy in some areas by evening and night.
